Sanctus

The CD SANCTUS [Danú 025] features seven tracks, including the famous “Miserere Mei Deus” by Allegri. This sublime piece features stratospheric soprano vocals and runs to just under 13 minutes in length. The album includes four original pieces by Michael McGlynn, including his “Agnus Dei”. Four of the tracks have been previously released, however over two thirds of the album features newly recorded material.

Released the same day will be the DVD INVOCATIONS OF IRELAND [Danú 024]. This features 19 pieces written or arranged by Michael McGlynn. The album features Anúna performing on location throughout the country, with locations that include Christ Church Cathedral crypt, the Wicklow mountains, the rugged west Galway coast and the Burren. The DVD was filmed, directed and edited by Michael and features beautiful songs that include traditional classics alongside the more eclectic repertoire that Anúna have become famous for. Note that this DVD is Region Free in NTSC format, so should play in any player world-wide.
